Don't ask for or link directly to pirated software or copyrighted material without permission of the copyright holder. The codes are for a second emulator that I have and use to play an old game of Animal Crossing (maybe you have heard of it's brand new start Animal Crossing New Horizons) so I decided to use tricks to get everything using cheats codes, so thinking on your advice and experience, I think I'll have to use the game save state to make the things I want permanent (did I understood correctly?).Ībout the Action Replay, this question is because in a page that offers the cheat codes (sorry, because of the rules of the subreddit I won't say which one) also offers this device (I think?) for using cheat codes on the DS, so I thought that maybe I shouldn't try to use those cheat codes for my emulator (although it may not make any sense, since an emulator it's like the actual machine inside other machine), but don't worry, with your response I have cleared my mind, so that question is also solved. To get started check out our wiki page or The Emulation General Wiki. I think I understand better and I'll think about what to do when I use them.

I really appreciate your help, sorry for not replying right away, I tend very much to go offline often, but your response was really helpful. Since roms and saves are what's being altered, it doesn't matter if the system that's running and processing their information is an emulaor or a physical console. Action Replays work on emulators and physical NDS's. Don't assume the same will happen to you, however. Button input cheats don't tend to stick, even if you save with them active. If it's a constant cheat, i.e., doesn't require button inputs and alters the intended course of the game, there's a high chance it will become permanent if you save. However, from my experience, the permanent change depends on the type of cheat.

That's why you're suggested to use states, to force the code back to normal, and not threaten the integrity of your rom/save. Even if you turn it off, it would still be active, that is. As such, saving can make those changes permanent for the save you're using, or the rom itself. Using cheat codes, as you may conclude, tinkers the code of the rom/save you're using.
